Jay Rymeski - President/Executive Producer

Jay has worked with electronic media for over twenty years, from college through his professional career. He founded Current in 1983 with the goal of combining video and print then evolved that strategy to work on the web to meet client needs. While known for his master interviewing skills; Jay also pushes the leading edge of technology with a full range of development skills, CD/DVD based multimedia production, WWW publishing and streaming video. His awards include ITVA International Silver and Bronze, Best of the WEST, and John Muir Film Festival. An accomplished runner, kayaker and telemark skier, he spends a fair amount of time in raingear. Jay has an undergraduate degree in broadcasting and journalism and a Master's degree in instructional design from the University of Oregon.

 

Sandy Poole - Writer/Producer/Editor

Sandy's been around electronic media for 25 years: for a decade as a news writer and reporter at KATU TV in Portland, then at Oregon Health and Science University as media consultant, writer and video producer. Although Sandy's work focuses on health care, education and fundraising; she also produces live television broadcasts for the children's Miracle Network. As a well respected on and off camera talent, Sandy's a quick study that can get the story and tell it in a compelling way.

 

Roddy Blelloch - Associate Producer/Director of Photography

Roddy heads up our production unit in the Bay Area. With offices in centrally located Oakland, Roddy is our prime Videographer and Production Coordinator in Silicon Valley. Our Media 100 editing suite decreases first cut turnaround time for our Bay Area clients. His work there includes shooting at some of the valley's most impressive addresses like Sun Microsystems, H-P, 3Com, San Francisco Symphony, Bechtel, Mentor Graphics, and more. Roddy brings the talent, equipment and resources to cover any story. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from UC Berkeley and has worked extensively in Chile where he cultivated his strong bilingual talents.

 

Ian Probasco - Associate Producer/Director Post-Production

With a background ranging from videography to graphic design, Ian's work gives him a broad perspective on electronic media and related fields. He has spent the past two years at Current following completion of his undergraduate work in the Film Program at the University of Utah. His work at Current includes our website design and development, a massive project for the San Francisco Symphony, the PDX Light Rail video for Bechtel and numerous stories for NBC News. Other experience includes work on several dramatic features and independent films. Ian also enjoys photography and continues to develop his skills as a filmmaker.

 

Duncan James Livingston - Director of Photography

Duncan has been producing interviews and documenting the construction, history, and politics on the Tacoma Narrows Bridge project since 2003. A photojournalist by trade, youÕve likely seen DuncanÕs work regularly over the last 25 years in NW regional newspapers along with national coverage for the Associated Press and New York Times. Managing our Tacoma office, Duncan is pioneering time-lapse acquisition techniques in the Puget Sound. He's involved in other projects for Current, like Redhook Brewery's marketing communications video programs. As a musician, artist and sailor, Duncan brings a broad array of skills to our team.
